Virtual 4th of July Parade

United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County

Back in March we thought summer would come with freedom, releasing us back into the familiar world.  But it is not to be.

And so this 4th of July weekend we need an anchor of familiarity to stabilize and remind us who truly are. Why these United States of America matter. We won’t have parades or fireworks. But we can still celebrate virtually.

The United Veterans Council of San Joaquin County was forced to make the difficult decision (as many other communities have) to cancel their annual 4th of July Parade. However, they immediately began looking for options to bring the community together and celebrate. They produced a nearly fifty minute video featuring past parades, a ceremony, and reminiscences about the meaning of the Independence Day and favorite memories of past celebrations.
