Stocktonians Leonard Andres (left) and his son Brad are both AMA Hall of Fame honorees. Brad won
three Daytona 200s and was the dominant Road Racer in the 1950s. Leonard, too, was a champion
racer, a member of the Vagabonds/Port Stockton Motorcycle Club, and a master engine builder. The
family had Harley-Davidson dealerships in Modesto, Stockton, and San Diego. They posed for this
photograph in 1953. (Photo from the Ralph Lee family collection.)
