Golden State Road Trips: Dos Rios State Park

California has hundreds of state parks ranging from Big Basin Redwoods State Park (est. 1902) to the newest park, Dos Rios State Park, still under development in Stanislaus County about ten miles west of Modesto.
Dos Rios, named for the two rivers that run through it, is a quiet, low-key park with an air of timelessness and serenity.  It is only open Fridays through Sundays at this time.
